When my husband and I started building our semi-custom dream home, we decided we needed to hire an interior designer to help us through the selections process. The sample pieces are sometimes so small, and there are hundreds of selections to make, and we needed help making sure that we were selecting pieces consistent with the vibe we were going for. Maggie had so many insights that guided our decisions, such as how one piece against another would look purple-ish, or what could be easily added later or swapped out if we didn’t like the selections available. Maggie also did her homework before coming to the meetings, looking at our Pinterest boards, talking to us to understand what styles we liked and what was most important to us, and used that information to help guide us or let us know when we were deviating from what we said we liked or pinned to our boards to make sure we wanted to go in that direction. She made what would have been an overwhelming experience, enjoyable and helped my husband and I have productive conversations about what was important and where we were willing to negotiate (with each other).
